Happy New Year!

Hello everybody, and welcome to 2018!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year celebration. I've just had the greatest Christmas and New Year combo and turn 28 years young on Saturday. What a couple of weeks!

With the start of a new calendar year, its always good to reflect - but its equally important to look forward. With that in mind, here are my goals for 2018!

1) More regular blog posts.

I really dropped the ball on this one at times last year! I'm planning out my content schedule this week and am hoping to have AT LEAST one post a week - 52 posts in a year would be far and away my highest post count, but I'm also mindful that I don't live a life exciting enough to find something to talk about once a week. Just stick with me on this one! 🙂

2) Buy my new home.

Wowzers, this is the big one! Subject to the sale of my property, i've found my next home. With any luck, I can be in by Summer - if thats the case, you'll be getting a post about that i'm sure! Without going into specifics, its an exciting move for me and will put me right where I want to be - by the seafront and the park so I can run to my heart's content!

3) Play more shows.

We played a fair few shows last year considering we'd been on hiatus for almost two years and that we're all working full-time in ever changing shift patterns. We played London, Suffolk, and of course, Essex. But we want more - we already have a handful of shows in the pipeline and we can't wait to come out and party with everyone!

4) New music releases.

On the same wavelength as above - we have new music. Even better, its pretty much finished. Its a case of finishing touches and we're super proud of it. We're also working on a more regular release cadence to make up for our aforementioned period of inactivity. I love the new tracks and can't wait to share them with you!

5) Stream video games at least once.

An odd one here - but there is reasoning. Gaming is my favourite entertainment medium - but over the last few years streaming games has become increasingly popular. Unfortunately, I missed that boat - so i'll be trying my hand at it a few years late. The reason this is a goal is I think its a good way to battle some anxiety - I don't like playing games with strangers etc so I think putting myself front and centre could be good for me. Watch out for more on my Xbox Live account PopPunkPanda 🙂

6) More Youtube content.

This year, I started slowly with some Youtube covers and one original song. If nothing else, I like paying homage to songs I have been inspired by. I'm planning to shake up the formula for these and see if I can build on the sound quality. We'll see how it goes!

7) More Instagram content.

I love a good selfie, and theres a good chance that stems from low self-confidence and a pathological need for attention - but hey, at least i'm honest! Recently, however, i've started adding some more fashion-related posts. Admittedly, I could do with a better camera but the idea is this - i'm a 6ft 4 gent who is lets say "solidly" built. I have so much trouble finding clothes in my size that aren't unfashionable or unflattering for my body type. The Instagram posts are my way of showing that its not all bad!
