New Flat. New Cat. Same Ol' Twat.

Hi everyone!

Its been a while, I know. Two weeks in fact.

I'm so pleased to be able to say I've finally moved home! It's fair to say it was stressful right up until the eleventh hour, but I'm in.

Cheers to that!
Huge thanks for my parents and Frankie for helping me lug everything from one flat to the other. It took 13 hours to get everything in the van, unload at the other end, and go back for a second trip! On Saturday just gone, we finally sat down to rest on the balcony with a bottle of wine between us and the sunshine - bliss.

Also huge thanks to everyone that has visited, helped out and bought us cards and gifts - this fresh start is huge for me and I'm so thankful for the support I've had from friends and family alike.

Special mention to Frankie's sister Lauren for helping organise this bad boy...the sofa that is, not me.

The other news is the newest addition to the Coombes family, Loki.

Having grown up with dogs, i've never been a "cat person". Frankie is a crazy cat lady, but it was actually me that decided to get Loki. Just look at that face. He's a little s*** at night time as he just wants to play but he's been so well-behaved considering he is only 11 weeks old.

Family Photo ft. me forgetting where the lens is...

You'll be pleased to hear my new surroundings haven't dulled my nerdiness, and I'll have a new post tomorrow with Apple's WWDC announcements condensed into a consumer-friendly read, but I was lucky enough to upgrade my phone this week as well.

So Pretty.
Yep, I took the plunge and upgraded to the iPhone X. I had no intention of looking into it until I realised my 3GB data allowance was draining quicker than my bank balance when topping it up (since the flat doesn't yet have wi-fi) - I managed to snag a great deal at Carphone Warehouse, and the phone is fantastic. More on that this week with a full review!

What else is new? I'm pleased to say that Counties made our long-awaited return to Chinnerys in Southend last week and i'm equally chuffed that so many of my friends came to see. Huge shout out to the gig in general (possibly the best we've played) and the atmosphere there. Quick reminder that we're playing Chinnerys on 28th July to support mental health charity CALM at Tom's memorial show. Would love to see people there - you can grab your tickets here.

All in all then, quite possibly the best week and a half of my life. Aside from the content I've already alluded to in this post, I'll be featuring on a review discussion for SquareXO on Thursday evening, updating my tattoo post tomorrow and its "Nerd Christmas" (E3) starting Saturday. What a time to be alive.

For now though, peace!

Here's to the future (Shot on iPhone X!)
