Checking In (Worst Blogger Ever)

It's been almost a month since my last post. Oops. It would be fair to say I've been very busy:

1) My writing was in a national paper. So there's that!

2) Since the last time I wrote a blog post on here, I've been published eleven times. Two pieces should be up soon, too, and I'm working on four new articles.

3) Frankie, myself, and Frankie's Mum have assembled our nursery furniture. Its mad what a lick of paint and some nice, quality furniture can do for a room - its gone from a man-cave full of comic books and nerdy memorabilia to a lovely little bedroom for our little man.

Look how ridiculously cute these are!

4) Speaking of which - we attended an antenatal class last weekend and while I've always had the utmost respect for the miracle of childbirth, I think I look at it in a whole other way now. The human body is an incredible thing, especially where babies are concerned. Not sure Frankie felt as enlightened as I did, though!

5) Something super cool has happened that I can't share much of just yet. The key thing is, I'm earning a cheeky bit of extra money, doing what I love.

6) We (Counties) played London last week. Was super fun, and we made some new friends in the meantime. Can't wait to see the photos our photographer got, but for now here's one of me and Tom!

As a reminder, our music is available on streaming services everywhere.

7) Speaking of streaming services, I made the jump to Spotify (again) and I think this time I'll stick around. Its a more social music platform, and it works with CarPlay in my motor as well.

8) Unfortunately, I managed to damage some ligaments in my right knee last week so was in a knee brace thing for a couple of days. I'm back to walking normally, but I won't be able to run for a while. As a result, I'm focusing on hitting the gym a little harder and doing some leg work there. Physio is booked in for next month, and then there's the potential for an MRI after that.

On the plus side, I've lost a bunch of weight - again. Not quite sure how, but I'm keeping it off too - I'm impressed with myself.

I think it would be fair to say, then, that this month has been a bit of a busy one between work, managing my fledgling business, trying to look after Frankie, preparing for the baby, and somehow still managing to find time to get injured and play a show.

That's all for now, but thank you for checking in!
